Solar powered UVC pond clarifier that kills green algae, bacteria and viruses – no mains electricity needed. Compact inline design connects between your solar pump and pond. Works with any 12V battery box.
Kills green algae, bacteria and viruses with UVC light
DC 12V – works with solar battery systems, no mains needed
Choose 5W (ponds to 2,000L) or 10W (ponds to 3,000L)
IP68 fully submersible with safety auto cut-off
Compact inline tube – connects with 25/32/38mm hose
Connect the UV clarifier inline between your solar pump and pond, plug the power cable into the light output on any 12V battery box, and let the UVC do the work. Green algae, bacteria and viruses are killed as water flows through the quartz UV chamber – no mains electricity needed.
✓ Kills Green Algae✓ DC 12V Solar Powered✓ IP68 Fully Submersible✓ Safety Auto Cut-Off✓ 5W or 10W Options
Unlike bulky filter boxes, this is a compact inline tube. Water flows through the clarifier around a quartz sleeve fitted with UVC LEDs. The unique up-and-down flow path gives water maximum exposure to the UV light, killing algae and harmful organisms as it passes through.
Choose Your Size
5W (Ponds to 2,000L)
10W (Ponds to 3,000L)
UVC Power
5 Watts
10 Watts
Ideal Pond Volume
Up to 2,000 litres
Up to 3,000 litres
Max Flow Rate
1,500 LPH
2,000 LPH
Not sure which size? If in doubt, go for the 10W – it clears green water faster and handles larger pump flow rates.
Compatible Solar Pump Systems
Sunspray SE 1000 (25W panel)
Sunspray SE 2000 (40W panel) – recommended
100W Solar Fountain Pump – recommended
Pro Fountain 3500
Important: The clarifier draws 5W or 10W from your battery in addition to the pump. For best performance, we recommend a 40W+ panel system.
Not compatible with: SE 360, SE 450 or SE 500 (these are 6.4V – the clarifier requires 12V).
Thoughtfully designed for reliability and ease of use, the UV clarifier features built-in safety systems and straightforward maintenance.
Safety Features
Auto cut-off – UV lamp will not operate unless correctly locked into the housing
Observation window – check the UV light is running at a glance
Arrow alignment system – ensures correct reassembly after cleaning
UVC radiation fully contained inside the sealed tube
Maintenance
Quartz sleeve develops algae or limescale over time
Disconnect power, remove lamp assembly, clean the sleeve
Dry completely before reinstalling
Align arrows on lampstand and UV lamp during reassembly
Check observation window regularly to confirm operation
Do I Need a Filter Box Too?
The UV clarifier kills algae and bacteria, but the dead algae remains in the water until it settles or is filtered out. For the clearest results, run the UV clarifier inline with one of our solar pond filter boxes – the UV kills the algae, then the filter catches it. However, many customers see excellent results with the UV clarifier alone, especially in smaller ponds.
