Overview
A big, bright solar floodlight for drives, gates, gardens and outbuildings, with the largest battery in our range. The panel mounts separately, so the light can go where you need it and the panel where the sun is.
Up to 1500 lumens of cool white light (6000K)
PIR motion sensor: detects movement 5 to 8 m away
Two motion modes, dusk to dawn, or a dimmable floodlight
Remote control included
10,000mAh battery: up to 8 hours on a full charge
Separate 10W solar panel on a 2 m cable
IP65 weatherproof
Seasonal performance: the separate panel can go in the sunniest spot while the light goes where you need it. From autumn, face the panel south with no shade at all during the day and use one of the motion modes, which save the charge for when someone is actually there. Expect shorter running after dull days.
The Nightwatch is a proper floodlight that needs no mains power. Thirty powerful LEDs put out up to 1500 lumens, enough to light a driveway, a gateway or the side of a barn. Because the solar panel sits on its own 2 m cable, you are not forced to choose between a sunny spot and the place you actually need light: the light goes by the door or the gate, and the panel goes wherever it gets the most sun.
Its 10,000mAh battery is the largest in our range, giving up to 8 hours of light on a full charge, and the remote control lets you switch between modes without climbing a ladder.

Choose How It Works
Use it as a security light, an automatic dusk-to-dawn light, or a floodlight you switch on when you need it.
Security Mode 1
From dusk it gives a soft 300 lumen glow.
Movement switches it to the full 1500 lumens for 30 seconds after the last motion.
Security Mode 2
Stays off until it detects movement.
Then full 1500 lumens for 60 seconds after the last motion, and off again.
Dusk to Dawn
Lights automatically from dusk to dawn.
Choose 750, 525 or 225 lumens.
Floodlight On Demand
Switch it on and off from the remote.
Dim from 750 down to 150 lumens, with a timer that switches it off after 3, 5 or 8 hours.
Big Battery
14.4V 10,000mAh lithium-ion battery.
Up to 8 hours of light on a full charge (maker's figure; less after dull days).
Separate Solar Panel
10W monocrystalline panel, 22.8% efficiency.
2 m cable, so the panel can go in full sun away from the light.
Fixed to a tree, with the panel up where the sun reaches it
Common Questions
How long will it stay on at night?
Up to 8 hours on a full charge, from its 10,000mAh battery. How long it actually runs depends on the mode, the brightness and how much sun the panel had that day: the motion modes use the least.
Can the solar panel go somewhere different from the light?
Yes. The panel is separate, on a 2 m cable, so you can fix the light where you need it and the panel where it gets the most sun.
What is the difference between the two motion modes?
Mode 1 glows softly at 300 lumens from dusk and jumps to 1500 lumens for 30 seconds when it sees movement. Mode 2 stays off until it sees movement, then gives 1500 lumens for 60 seconds.
Can I use it as an ordinary floodlight?
Yes. Use the remote to switch it on and off, dim it from 750 down to 150 lumens, and set it to switch itself off after 3, 5 or 8 hours. There is also a dusk-to-dawn mode at 750, 525 or 225 lumens.
How far away will the sensor pick up movement?
The PIR sensor detects movement from about 5 to 8 metres away.
Security 1: 300 lm glow, 1500 lm for 30 s on motion · Security 2: off, 1500 lm for 60 s on motion · Dusk to dawn: 750 / 525 / 225 lm · Manual: dimmable 750–150 lm with 3, 5 or 8 hour timer

Seasonal Performance
Best from spring to early autumn. In autumn and winter use a motion mode, with the panel facing south and out of shade all day
No wiring to the mains: the light and the panel each fix up with the mounting hardware supplied, joined by the 2 m cable.
1. Pick the Panel's Spot
Find where the panel gets full sun for as much of the day as possible, within 2 m of where you want the light. From autumn to early spring a south-facing spot with no shade is essential.
2. Fix the Light
Fix the floodlight where you want the light, using the mounting hardware supplied. Angle it towards the area you want to light and check the sensor can see the approach.
3. Fix the Panel
Fix the panel in its sunny spot, angled up towards the sun.
4. Connect
Join the panel to the light with the 2 m cable and tidy the cable along the wall or post.
5. Choose a Mode
Use the remote to pick a motion mode, dusk to dawn, or on-demand floodlight. In autumn and winter use a motion mode to save the charge.
6. Check at Dusk
Let the panel charge in sunshine, then check the light at dusk in the mode you have chosen.
A separate solar panel, a large lithium-ion battery, a PIR sensor and a remote control work together, with no mains wiring and no running costs.
Daytime Charging
The 10W panel turns daylight into power and stores it in the 10,000mAh battery. Full sun charges it in about 4 to 6 hours; dull days give a partial charge.
Light at Dusk
In the automatic modes the light comes on by itself as it gets dark.
Motion Detection
The PIR sensor picks up the body heat of a person moving 5 to 8 metres away and switches the light to full brightness.
Four Ways to Use It
Two security modes, dusk to dawn, or an on-demand floodlight you dim and time from the remote.
Autumn and Winter
In the shorter, duller months use a motion mode: the light then saves its charge for when someone is actually there.
