Overview
A substantial 75cm solar bollard for paths, entrances and patios, made from die-cast aluminium with a sand-textured black finish. Its four-sided solar array, PIR motion sensor and three selectable light colours give you more control than a conventional dusk-to-dawn path light.
Measured 107-lumen warm light for useful pathway and entrance illumination
Three light colours: warm white, neutral white or cool white
Three operating modes, including motion-boost and always-on choices
75cm die-cast aluminium body with an IP54 weather-resistant construction
Four integrated solar panels help collect sunlight from several directions
Secure bolt-down installation for a permanent position on a suitable hard base
The Canterbury stands 75cm high and uses a sturdy die-cast aluminium body rather than a lightweight plastic post. Its clean square profile suits contemporary paths, drive entrances, patios and landscaped borders.
✓ Three light colours✓ PIR motion sensing✓ Four-sided solar collection✓ Die-cast aluminium✓ 75cm bollard✓ Bolt-down base
At a measured 107 lumens in warm-white operation, it is designed to mark and illuminate a route with a comfortable pool of light. It is a pathway bollard, not a high-output floodlight.
Lighting That Suits Your Path
Choose the light colour and operating mode to suit the route through your garden.
Choose the colour of the light
A long press of the control for approximately 2–3 seconds changes between warm white, neutral white and cool white.
Warm white gives a softer decorative look; neutral and cool white provide a crisper appearance.
Motion sensing when you want it
Three modes let you choose motion-boost lighting, steady dusk-to-dawn lighting, or motion-only lighting.
That makes the same bollard suitable for a frequently used path or a quieter part of the garden.
Solar Power & Permanent Positioning
Integrated solar collection and a fixed base make positioning an important part of installation.
Four-sided solar collection
Four 5.5W solar panels form a 22W total nameplate solar array around the body of the bollard, so the product can collect available sunlight from more than one direction during the day.
The 3.7V 5000mAh battery stores that energy for use after dark.
Built for permanent surface mounting
The bolt-down base is supplied with four M6 × 60mm expansion bolts.
Install it on a sound, level hard surface or a suitable concrete pad where the solar panels receive good daylight.
Illustrative setting; brightness varies with conditions.
Realistic solar performance
The manufacturer specifies approximately 4–5 hours to charge in good sunlight and up to 10–12 hours of operation from a full charge. As with every solar light, actual results vary with panel position, shading, season, weather and the operating mode selected.
What is included
One Canterbury solar bollard with its integrated panels and battery, plus four M6 × 60mm expansion bolts.
You will need: a suitable hard mounting base and installation tools. A concrete pad and tools are not included.
Choose a sunny position. Avoid shade from buildings, fences, trees and dense planting. The four solar panels should receive as much direct daylight as possible.
Use a suitable base. This is a bolt-down bollard, not a ground-spike light. Mount it on sound, level paving, masonry or a properly formed concrete pad.
Mark the four fixing points. Place the bollard in its final position, check the alignment and mark through the base holes.
Drill and secure. Drill holes appropriate for the supplied M6 × 60mm expansion bolts and the mounting surface. Clear away dust, insert the fixings and tighten the base evenly.
Select the operating mode. Use the control to choose the required mode. Hold it for approximately 2–3 seconds when you want to change the light colour.
Allow a full solar charge. Performance is best after the battery has received a full day of strong daylight.
Important: Check for concealed pipes and cables before drilling. If you are uncertain about the mounting surface or fixing method, use a competent installer.
During daylight, the four monocrystalline panels charge the internal battery. The light sensor prevents normal illumination during the day and allows the selected programme to operate after dark.
Mode 1: motion boost plus low light
The light brightens when movement is detected, remains bright for approximately 30 seconds, then returns to a lower background level.
Mode 2: steady light
The light remains on after dark without waiting for movement. This mode uses stored energy continuously, so runtime is more dependent on the previous day's charge.
Mode 3: motion only
The light stays off until movement is detected, turns on for approximately 30 seconds, then switches off again to conserve energy.
Changing the light colour
Press and hold the control for approximately 2–3 seconds to cycle between warm white, neutral white and cool white.
Frequently asked questions
Is it a spike light?
No. Its four-point base is designed for a permanent bolt-down installation on a hard surface or suitable concrete pad.
How bright is it?
The warm-white laboratory test measured approximately 107 lumens. It is intended for pathway and entrance lighting rather than floodlighting.
Will it run for 10–12 hours every night?
That is the manufacturer's maximum rating from a full charge. Actual runtime varies with sunlight, shading, season, weather and the selected mode; steady-light mode normally uses more stored energy.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes. The product offers warm white, neutral white and cool white. The colour is selected using a long press of the control.
