Good to know: This fan is fully solar-direct – it runs whenever the sun is on the panel and stops when it isn't. There is no battery and no on/off switch, which suits its job perfectly: it ventilates hardest during the bright, warm part of the day when heat and humidity build up the most. It runs on safe low-voltage DC only – never connect it to the mains.
The solar panel converts sunlight straight into low-voltage DC power that drives the fan directly – there is no battery and no switch. Whenever the sun is on the panel the fan spins, pulling stale, damp air out and drawing fresh air through. The stronger the sunshine, the faster it runs.
That makes it ideal for sheds, greenhouses and attics: the fan works hardest exactly when it is needed most – during the warm, bright part of the day when heat, humidity and stale air build up. It costs nothing to run and needs no mains connection.
