The Pump Buddy Skimmer Attachment is designed to be attached to a pond pump - the combined unit then sucks in debris from the surface of your pond with the waste collecting in an easy-empty collection basket.

The water surface is one of the most important parameters for a biologically well-functioning pond because it is here the gas exchange between water and air takes place.
The Pump Buddy Pond Skimmer is designed so the top rim of the skimmer sits on the waters surface.
From here the debris can be drawn into the small top basket and can then be removed from the pond with ease.
The height of the skimmer can be easily adjusted to suit the height of most ponds The base has a small tray that can be filled and weighed down with pebbles to prevent the skimmer floating too far up or being knocked over.
A hosetail sits on the base and when this is connected to a pump (not supplied) the action draws any waste and debris towards the skimmer.
The hosetail should be screwed into the skimmer inlet. This hosetail is the feed for your pond pump.
Riser Pipe Assembly
The base of the riser pipe is attached via a ball joint which will allow your basket head to be tilted / adjusted if necessary.
The ball joint should be screwed into the connection nut which is also used to attach the main stem
At the other end of the main stem a second connecting nut needs to be screwed in allowing connection of the float / basket

The assembled riser pipe can be screwed into the inner chamber
The foam disc sits at the bottom of this chamber
The collection basket sits on top pf the disc
Then finally the floating collar sits on top of assembled inner-chamber / catching unit
How To Use
Your assembled pond skimmer should be attached to a pond pump via a suitable length of pond hose.
Cut the supplied hosetail to match the dimensions of the hose
Place the round perforated base of the skimmer on the pond floor (or level surface suck as a stone if your pond is particularly deep). The base can be weighed down by filling with stones / gravel
Position the skimmer basket so that it is in-line with the pond surface
The telescopic riser pipe can be lengthen to achieve a maximum operating depth of 1 m
Switch your pump on and you will see that suction from your pump will drown surface particles toward your skimmer
Remember to clean out your skimmer's basket regularly to achieve maximum performance
