Essential Placement Rules

  • Must be installed upright - Only on its feet in horizontal position
  • Never submerge - Keep completely away from water
  • No coverings - Never place anything over the unit

Safe Locations

  • Ground Installation:
    • Flat, stable surface
    • Elevated from damp ground
    • Under natural shade (foliage OK)
  • Wall/Shelf Installation:
    • Requires proper mounting shelf
    • Must maintain upright position
    • Secure against movement

Prohibited Locations

  • Flood-prone areas
  • Waterlogged ground
  • Inside ponds/water features
  • Enclosed spaces without ventilation
  • Under artificial covers/containers

Wall Mounting Requirements

  • Drip loops mandatory - Form U-shape in cables below entry points
  • Weatherproof shelf - Must support full unit weight
  • Cable management - Secure all wires to prevent strain

Environmental Protection

  • Maintain 6" clearance on all sides
  • Ensure natural airflow around unit
  • Protect from direct rainfall exposure
  • Keep connections dry and clean
