Core Performance & Power System
A Grade A polycrystalline panel powers the aerator in direct sun, delivering
up to 10 LPM airflow for improved circulation and oxygen transfer during
spring and summer conditions.
Solar Power
5W polycrystalline panel
12V DC operating voltage
Designed for seasonal sunlight
5m cable for placement flexibility
Aeration Output
Up to 10 LPM total airflow
250 mmHg maximum pressure
Quiet operation (< 40 Db)
Stable airflow in direct sun
Build & Certification
IP44 weather protection rating
RoHS and REACH compliant
CE and UKCA certified
Built for outdoor pond use
Choose Your Diffuser Setup
Both configurations share the same total output. The difference is how
airflow is distributed across the pond.
Multi-Stone Distribution
Five diffuser points
Wide coverage for larger ponds
Ideal for irregular pond shapes
Flexible positioning by zone
Cylinder Diffuser Option
Single deep-water diffuser
More concentrated airflow zone
Suitable for deeper areas
Tidy single-point installation
Hoses & Placement
Multi-stone: five hose runs
Cylinder: single hose run
Keep hoses free of tight kinks
Place diffusers at usable depth
Pond Size & Application Guide
This 5W system is suited to medium and larger garden ponds where stronger
airflow supports oxygen levels during warmer months. For very large ponds
or heavy stocking, additional aeration may be required.
Pond Category
Approx. Capacity
Typical Use
Recommended Setup
Small Ponds
Up to 1,500 gallons (≈ 6,800 L)
Wildlife / planted ponds
Multi-stone for broad coverage
Medium Ponds
1,500–3,000 gallons (≈ 13,500 L)
Mixed stocking
Multi-stone recommended
Larger Ponds
3,000+ gallons
Deeper zones / higher demand
Cylinder option can suit depth
Care & Seasonal Use
Light routine checks help keep output consistent through the main season,
especially after hot spells or algae growth periods.
Routine Checks
Rinse stones or cylinder as needed
Check hoses for kinks or blockages
Confirm bubble pattern is even
Inspect connectors periodically
Panel Care
Place in full direct sun
Wipe dust from the panel surface
Avoid shading during peak hours
Adjust angle for summer sun
Season Notes
Best output in spring / summer sun
Runtime varies with sunlight levels
Store safely in freezing conditions
Re-check setup at spring start
Flexible Solar Aeration for Healthier Ponds
With dual diffuser options and strong airflow output, this 5W system gives
you a practical way to improve oxygen transfer and circulation using
seasonal solar power and a layout that suits your pond shape.
We ordered the 5 stone version for a pond approx 18 cubic metres with low oxygen levels.
Very easy to set up.
It was a dull day when we installed it, but the stones started "bubbling" as soon as the air line was connected to the solar panel. During the hours of daylight it bubbles away gently (noticeably increasing with even a glimmer of sunlight). We placed the pump on a flat slab so as to be sure no vegetation could obstruct the air intakes. We have even constructed a brick and slab cover housing to disguise it - and that doesn't seem to be affecting the air circulation.
Hubby admitted yesterday he had been skeptical about the quality, given the price, but he us suitably impressed. In fact he has become obsessed with bubble watching.
Looking forward to doing an oxygen test in a week or two to see how things are looking.
Thanks Powerbee for a great product
