Product Overview
Replace the existing solar panel, battery and pump on your Wychwood Falls with the genuine SW1040D kit. Everything is supplied as a matched set — 4W SC4W0DT panel, integrated BPM74V2000 Li-ion battery, and SP-250XS submersible pump — so you restore performance without guesswork. The kit is designed for the Wychwood Falls and compatible 4W hybrid water features.
Everything you need to bring your hybrid water feature back to perfect working condition — a bigger 4W panel, a larger 2000mAh battery, and a higher-capacity SP-250XS pump than the 2W SW1020D kit.

Remove the old panel and pump. Lift the old pump from the reservoir and disconnect the existing solar panel.
Mount the new panel. Use the supplied ground spike in a sunny border, or the wall bracket and screws to fix it to a wall, fence or post. Face it towards the midday sun.
Fit the pump and tubing. Push the supplied 8 mm tubing onto the pump outlet, trim it to length, and connect the other end to your feature's water inlet. Sit the pump flat on the base of the reservoir, fully submerged.
Connect the pump to the panel. Push the connectors together until they seat firmly.
Switch the battery on. Set the switch on the rear of the panel to ON so the battery charges during the day. Leave it OFF if you would rather store the charge for a particular evening.
Fill and test. Top the reservoir up and place the panel in direct sunlight. Allow a full sunny day for the first charge before expecting evening running.
Tip: keep the water topped up — running the pump dry is the most common cause of failure and is not covered by warranty.
This is a hybrid solar kit. During daylight the solar panel powers the pump directly and, at the same time, tops up the Li-ion battery built into the back of the panel.
As the light fades the kit switches over automatically and runs the pump from the stored charge, giving roughly 4–6 hours of running after dark from a full charge. No mains supply and no timer are needed — the changeover happens on its own.
The on/off switch on the rear of the panel controls charging. Leave it ON for normal day-and-evening running, or switch it OFF to bank the charge for an evening when you particularly want the feature running.
