For optimal stability when using the full 2.1m height, we recommend using the floor fitting on solid surfaces such as wood, stone, or concrete. The ground spike option is ideal for shorter heights in softer ground applications like soil borders, lawns, and large planters.
During the day the sun charge the rechargeable battery inside the solar panel (like a bee stores energy in honey for use later! :)). That's why we called ourselves PowerBee . When dusk falls the charge stored in the batteries power the lights automatically. In the morning or when batteries are depleted the lights turn off automatically and charge up again during daylight, ready for the night ahead. The Solar Powered Garden Lamp Post is fully automatic so you don't need to turn it on and off each night.
