How to Install Solar Shed Lights

Installation Steps:

Summary :  Unpack all components carefully.
- Fix the Solar Panel on a south facing aspect roof
- Run the cable in to your shed
- Plug in to the main hub
- Locate your lighting option
- Plug and and Enjoy

  1. Choose a Mounting Location:

    • Select a location for the solar panel that receives ample sunlight throughout the day. Ensure it's unobstructed by shadows, trees, or other structures.

  2. Mount the Solar Panel:

    • The solar panel has an aluminum frame, you can mount it directly using screws. There's no fixing arm or bracket, you may need to create a mounting solution using brackets or other support structures if not fitted to your shed roof directly.
    • Use appropriate screws and anchors to secure the solar panel in place. Ensure it is angled towards the sun for optimal sunlight exposure, make sure it is no greater than 5 Meters away from where you are going to l;ocate the control box.

  3. Run Wiring:

    • Connect the 5m wire from the solar panel to the control box. Use cable clips or ties to secure the wire along the installation path and prevent tripping hazards.

  4. Mount the Control Box:

    • Place the control box in a secure and accessible location within the shed or weatherproof location. The control box has screw holes for mounting.
    • Use screws to attach the control box to a stable surface. Ensure it is positioned where it won't be exposed to direct rain or moisture.

  5. Connect LED Bulbs:

    • Connect the 5m wire from the 2W LED bulbs and the 3m wire from the 1W LED bulbs to the control box. Follow the provided instructions or markings on the wires to ensure correct connections.

  6. Secure Wiring:

    • Secure the LED bulb wires along the shed's interior using clips or ties to keep them organized and prevent any tripping hazards.

  7. Test the System:

    • Turn on the system and ensure that the LED bulbs light up. If not, double-check the connections and verify that the solar panel is receiving adequate sunlight.

  8. Adjust and Monitor:

    • Monitor the system's performance and make adjustments as needed. Ensure the solar panel remains clean and free of debris for optimal efficiency.

  9. Maintenance:

  • Regularly clean the solar panel to maintain its efficiency.
  • Check the wiring and connections periodically for any signs of wear or damage.

Our solar shed light kit works as follows:

  2. Built-in Battery: The kit includes a 3.7V 6000mAh lithium battery that stores the energy generated by the solar panel during the day.

  3. Charging: The solar panel charges the built-in battery during daylight hours. The charging time is approximately 4-6 hours, depending on sunlight conditions.

  4. Light Source: The kit uses LED bulbs as the light source. There are four bulbs: Two with a power rating of 1W and two with 2W.

  5. Light Color and Temperature: The LED bulbs emit white light with a color temperature of 6500-7000K. This is a cool white light suitable for various applications.

  6. Lumen Output: Each bulb produces 150 lumens of light, contributing to the overall brightness of the shed illumination.

  7. Waterproofing: The solar panel has an IP65 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use. The LED bulbs have an IP44 waterproof rating, providing protection against splashing water. However, the control box is not waterproof.

  8. Control Box: The kit includes a control box with dimensions approximately 17.2 X 10.3 *4 cm. It contains circuitry for controlling the charging and discharging of the battery and has a button for turning the lights on and off.

  9. Wiring: The solar panel is connected to the control box, and the LED bulbs are connected to the control box as well. The wiring includes a 5m (16.4ft) wire length for the solar panel, 5m (16.4ft) wire length for the 2W bulbs, and 3m (9.8ft) wire length for the 1W bulbs.

  10. Output Charging Port: The control box has an output charging port with a rating of 5V 2A. This port can be used to charge external devices such as phones or other USB-powered devices.
