Oxygenator Air Stone for the Powerbee Oxygenator 2 Pack

Buy a Spare Oxygenator Air Stone, Fits 4 - 6 mm Tubing and Provides a Clear Diffused Path for Blocked Air Stones Best prices, Great Reviews, Free UK Delivery

Our Handy Spare Air Stone Accessory Fits nearly every air stone on the market, all Powerbee Oxygenator models and all models that support 4 - 6 mm tubing, which is pretty much every solar brand on the market, but please check the tubing.

Simple - just pull the old air stone out of the tubing and pop in a new one, air stones do become blocked especially over the winter time when they can be sitting in dead leaves for prolonged periods of time, you can try cleaning them out, however this can be a bit hit and miss and usually it is easier and more straight forward to replace the old one.

Cleaning air stones in a pond oxygenator is an important maintenance task to ensure proper oxygenation of the pond water. Here's a simple guide to clean air stones in a pond oxygenator:

    1. Remove the Air Stones: Turn off the pond oxygenator and disconnect the air stones from the tubing. Remove the air stones from the pond.

    2. Rinse the Air Stones: Gently rinse the air stones under running water to remove any visible debris or blockages. Use a soft brush or toothbrush to carefully scrub the surface of the air stones to dislodge any stubborn dirt or algae buildup.

    3. Soak in Vinegar Solution: Prepare a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar. Submerge the air stones in this solution and allow them to soak for a few hours or overnight. The mild acidity of the vinegar helps to dissolve mineral deposits and organic matter that may be clogging the air stones.

    4. Rinse Thoroughly: After soaking, thoroughly rinse the air stones under running water to remove any traces of vinegar solution and dislodged debris. Ensure that all the pores in the air stones are clear and free from blockages.

    5. Reconnect and Test: Once the air stones are clean, reattach them to the tubing and place them back in the pond. Turn on the pond oxygenator and observe the release of fine bubbles from the air stones, indicating that they are working effectively again.

Regular cleaning of air stones in a pond oxygenator will help maintain optimal oxygen levels in the pond and promote a healthy aquatic environment for fish and plants. If the air stones are heavily soiled or damaged, it may be necessary to replace them with new ones for efficient aeration.
